9/22/2017 0 Comments Good To Be Back :)Hello families!
We have had a wonderful week back! I sure did miss your kiddos. They transitioned back to school mode with ease. I am sending out progress reports today so please keep an eye out for them in your child's VACATION Folder. Please let me know if you have any questions! Here is a peek at next week! Reading: We will start a new story next week called Friends Around The World. We will be introduced to different cultures around the world through kids just like your kiddos! We will learn to identify the main idea and key details. Writing: We will start a writing workshop focused on sentence structure and paragraph formation. Math: We are starting a new topic! We will be working with even and odd numbers and how to work with equal groups. Science: We are going to start a new unit on Our Earth. We will be taking a look at what our world is made up of and how it changes. Social Studies: We will be spending time this week discussing ways we can make a difference in our world! Upcoming Dates- 9/25- Enrichment Clubs begin 9/26- PTO General Meeting 9/28- GRAND OPENING of the school store A few reminders - -The Grand Opening of the school store has been moved to next Thursday, September 28th! The school store will take place twice - once from 8:15-8:35am in the cafeteria AND from 3:30-4:00pm in the cafeteria! -Please bring a filled water bottle. -I would suggest having your kids bring a Plato approved sweater or jacket, it tends to get a little chilly in our room! -If you are not buying a school lunch please bring a full lunch. Everyone should also bring a snack for our Morning Snack. -Remember your placards for dismissal, we are not able to release your child without them. If you do not have it, please come in and show ID to Ms. Riley so we can release your child to you. -Please remember to bring your V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.folders every day.
