Reading Comprehension Questions -How is this story like any other story you know? -How is the setting (time and place) important to the story? -What words did the author use to describe the place? -Who is the most important character? -How does the author tell us about the character? -Which character changed int he story? How did he/she change? Writing: We have really done well with the paragraph formation! We will continue to practice this skill in preparation for more in depth writing. We will start working on a Thanksgiving writing activity. I cannot wait to read their stories! Math: I still really would like to work with your kiddos on Topic 3. We will continue to work on this in our small group lessons. As a whole group we will be moving on to Topic 4 and learning how to add fluently within 100. Science: We are finishing up our discussion on the solar system and will then take an assessment on Wednesday on what we have learned! We will then transition into Physical Science and talk about matter. Fun stuff!! Social Studies: We will continue our discussions on the North American Indian Nations. We will take a look more in depth at these different nations. A few reminders - -Please bring a filled water bottle. -I would suggest having your kids bring a Plato approved sweater or jacket, it tends to get a little chilly in our room! -If you are not buying a school lunch please bring a full lunch. Everyone should also bring a snack for our Morning Snack. -Remember your placards for dismissal, we are not able to release your child without them. If you do not have it, please come in and show ID to Ms. Riley so we can release your child to you. -Please remember to bring your V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.folders every day.
